Exercise- yack!

I hate, no not hate, I despise, detest and lothe exercise. It's time consuming, you get hot and sweaty and its well work. What is there to like about it?

I go in exercising spurts and this has been the longest that I have ever gone without some form of "regular" exercise. I won't say how long it been since my last streak because well you know its been a while.

I know that I feel much better and have more energy and less fog head when I do exercise but I still don't like it. I kind of envy people who like to exercise, I wish I bore that trait but it's not there, not anywhere.

At our old house I walked year round, we had sidewalks. After we move I packed up the kids in the morning and met my mom and we walked together when the weather permitted. Then baby three was born it didn't happen anymore. So I used the trusty old work out tapes and bounced around the basement like an idiot for forty minutes a couple of times a week. I few times I even tried to walk here, I would strap one kid to my back and push the other two. Or pack all three in the jogger and push the three of them while they whined about being squished. Talk about a work out pushing 100+ pounds down a dirt road. Only twice did I venture the walk with the four kids with no side walkwalks. The baby strapped to my chest two in the jogger and the oldest whining every step of the way and darting out into the line of traffic because of a bee.

Well the hubby started working out so that means I have to get back at it. He plays basketball at the crack-o-dawn a few times a week. I don't want to be the fat wife and skinny husband couple that you see where you feel bad for him being stuck with her. Yes I know that its good for me, reduces stress and stuff but for me exercise is about vanity- terrible I know. So maybe if I actually publish this post it will motivate me to start doing something:0)

Well wish me luck as I bust out the old sports bra and tennis shoes and break a sweat.

Esther, the thought you becoming fat makes me laugh. I don't think it's possible.

Maybe you should become a mall walker:)

Honestly I don't think you will every be the fat wife with the skinny husband. That lovely image is all mine. :( I seriously have nightmares about this nursery rhyme:

Jack Sprat could eat no fat,
His wife could eat no lean,
And so betwixt the two of them
They licked the platter clean

I wish I could find the pic that goes with it. It's very sad...

Anyway, when it gets nice outside, I'll meet you and we can take the kids to the "wooden park" and walk the trails back there. That would be a good workout and maybe with the kids together they won't whine about having to walk. :)

I agree with Sarah the idea of you ever being fat makes me laugh also. Good luck with the exercise thing. I am one of those crazy people who actually like to exercise. Once the weather warms up Sharon and I plan on walking once a week again you should join us it'd be fun!
