Exercise- yack!

I hate, no not hate, I despise, detest and lothe exercise. It's time consuming, you get hot and sweaty and its well work. What is there to like about it?

I go in exercising spurts and this has been the longest that I have ever gone without some form of "regular" exercise. I won't say how long it been since my last streak because well you know its been a while.

I know that I feel much better and have more energy and less fog head when I do exercise but I still don't like it. I kind of envy people who like to exercise, I wish I bore that trait but it's not there, not anywhere.

At our old house I walked year round, we had sidewalks. After we move I packed up the kids in the morning and met my mom and we walked together when the weather permitted. Then baby three was born it didn't happen anymore. So I used the trusty old work out tapes and bounced around the basement like an idiot for forty minutes a couple of times a week. I few times I even tried to walk here, I would strap one kid to my back and push the other two. Or pack all three in the jogger and push the three of them while they whined about being squished. Talk about a work out pushing 100+ pounds down a dirt road. Only twice did I venture the walk with the four kids with no side walkwalks. The baby strapped to my chest two in the jogger and the oldest whining every step of the way and darting out into the line of traffic because of a bee.

Well the hubby started working out so that means I have to get back at it. He plays basketball at the crack-o-dawn a few times a week. I don't want to be the fat wife and skinny husband couple that you see where you feel bad for him being stuck with her. Yes I know that its good for me, reduces stress and stuff but for me exercise is about vanity- terrible I know. So maybe if I actually publish this post it will motivate me to start doing something:0)

Well wish me luck as I bust out the old sports bra and tennis shoes and break a sweat.

Back Closet Makeover!

This is our back coat closet that we (the hubby) turned into a pantry. We store everything from a to z in this closet. There is the "junk" basket (we have no junk drawer), the hot tub chemicals, the kids art basket and all my small kitchen appliances, crock pot, bread machine, popcorn popper and blender. Plus all the rest of pantry type things. It only took about a half hour to deep clean this closet. I even emptied all the baskets and washed them. So much stuff got stuck in here during quick cleans that putting stuff back in its proper home took the longest. I even made an official home or the hubby's lunch pail so it doesn't sit out until the next day;) I love to look at things that are just cleaned- ahh.

(I did this on Monday for Crystal's challenge and the pictures which I emailed to the laptop finally showed up today. Oh well better late than never.)

My Favorite Article of Clothing!

The "wife beater" as I call them are by far my favorite article of clothing. I didn't start wearing this beauties until I was pregnant with Lu2 and now they are an almost daily part of my wardrobe.
I started wearing them because you can hardly buy a shirt that covers up the "goods" let alone a shirt that allows you to bend over with out giving the world a peep show. Come on people most pregnant women have small children, we need clothes that allow us to bend over in and not expose ourselves. They are long too and keep the stomach covered, after a few kids nobody wants to see the old stomach hanging out. These trusty beauties also can take a pulling and tugging that comes when you have a toddler that is trying to scale your chest to see up and over your head. They also make great pj's, kind of sexy (okay not really) but very comfy.
I bought a few tanks from the womens department of the store but they were obviously designed my men who like to see lots of cleavage they were much lower cut. These will be part of my wardrobe for many years to come too bad it took me so long to find out about them.
How about you do you have a favorite piece of clothing?

The thing kids say...

(A little background info. Lu2 was born in the middle of the night so when the kids woke up she was just there.)

The other day I was reading Lula a book about our bodies and she said "I sure do wish I knew how Lu2 popped out of your belly, next time you should try to stay awake so you can find out."

HAHA I wish I could sleep while that happened. Needless to say we had to have a little talk on how babies get out of there mom's bellies. She was quite surprized to say the least.

Oh the things they say!
