Sometimes They Exaggerate

The other day the kids were hollering through the house that the baby was climbing out of her bed. Come on now she's only five months old kids. Well by george they were right, they weren't exaggerating, she was climbing out of her bed. At one point she had her arms up on our bed. About time to pack the bassinet away:(

It's finally done!!

About 5 years ago, I think, my mother and I took a quilting class. I only had three kids, none of whom were in school yet. Free time abounded-hahahaha!

Well needless to say this quilt never quite got finished. I oh so wanted to make Lettie a baby quilt, remember she's three now, but I wouldn't allow myself because this one wasn't finished. I make up these crazy rules in my head. Well last Sunday I got tired of looking at it. It was taunting me. So I showed it who was boss. An hour l and half later the sewing machine and I won. Yes I know it's a "crime" to use a sewing machine to quilt but I don't care. It's done and it makes me happy.

I had so much fun picking out the fabrics and even piecing this quilt but not the top quilting. Way to time consuming with little results. Yes I realize this is probably a character flaw of mine but that's for a different day. Well I'm taking her advise, "there is no wrong or right way to make a quilt."
